Techspert appoints VP of Engineering

Jay Cano, whose previous positions have included CEO and Tech Lead at various software companies, has over 15 years’ experience in the software industry which he’s bringing with him to

As VP of Engineering, Jay will focus on growing, leading and managing the development team, ensuring that’s industry-leading AI search technology and products are of high quality and meet customers' needs. He’s also responsible for implementing and optimising internal processes to ensure that the engineering team always succeeds in everything they do.

Prior to joining, Jay has filled the roles of Tech Lead at Aula, a learning experience platform for higher education, CEO of Plotist, a company he founded which was developing an online collaboration tool for creative writers, and consultant, working with many companies in defining processes for their engineering teams.

Jay will also work alongside existing tech leads to develop the technical strategy and roadmap, ensuring that the product vision is realised through excellence in execution.
